Good apartment areas for young professionals in DC?
Trying to balance commute, budget, and being near some community life.
When I first settled in Washington, DC, the most useful answers did not come from Google. They came from people already living around Silver Spring and Hyattsville, because they could tell me which places were actually consistent week to week.
If the question is practical, I would start with DMV church groups before anything else. In my experience, those groups share honest advice faster than public posts, especially when housing, groceries, or church communities are involved.

Best Nigerian grocery stores in Toronto?
Trying to find a reliable place for garri, yam flour, palm oil, and snacks.
For reliability, I would start around North York. The bigger stores keep staples in stock better, but the smaller ones are where I usually find better snacks and fresh peppers.
One tip: ask which day they restock before you make a long trip. A place can be good in general and still disappoint if you show up right before a restock.

Best Ghanaian food spots in Washington, DC?
Recently moved closer to DC and looking for places for good waakye, fufu, and jollof.
If you want proper waakye on the weekend, check the places around Silver Spring and Hyattsville first. The best spots are usually not the most polished ones, but the food is much closer to home.
For family outings, I would separate everyday food spots from celebration spots. There are two places in the DMV that are strong for fufu but only one I would take older relatives to without worrying about seating or wait times.

Best African grocery stores in London?
Looking for reliable places with fresh stock and fair prices.
I would rank selection and freshness separately. Some places are better for pantry items, while others are better for produce and meat. The best store overall depends on what you buy most.
Ask people where they buy the basics versus celebration shopping. London has enough options now that most families do not rely on one store for everything anymore.
